台灣民眾的出境旅遊需求在近年持續強勁回溫，不論是 2025 全年或是 2026 年上半年，出境總人次均展現出龐大的市場規模與穩健的成長動能。在 2025 全年，台灣民眾的總出境次數達到 1894.4 萬次，當時的前六大熱門目的地依序為日本的 673.1 萬人次、中國大陸的 323.8 萬人次、韓國的 183.5 萬人次、香港的 162.6 萬人次、越南的 121.4 萬人次，以及泰國的 102.7 萬人次。

進入 2026 年後，出境熱潮未見趨緩，僅在 1 月至 6 月的上半年期間，台灣民眾出境總數就已正式突破千萬大關，達到 1065 萬 4670 人次。其中，日本以 393 萬 3002 人次、佔比 36.9% 遙遙领先，依舊穩居第一選擇；中國大陸以 184 萬 7061 人次、佔比 17.3% 位居第二；韓國則以 113 萬 2354 人次、佔比 10.6% 名列第三；隨後依序為中國香港的 87 萬 2510 人次佔比 8.2%、越南的 59 萬 7001 人次佔比 5.6%，以及泰國的 48 萬 4657 人次佔比 4.5%。

透過對比前後兩年的數據不難發現，日本長期穩居台灣民眾出境目的地的榜首。無論是完整年度統計，還是 2026 上半年的階段性數據，前往日本的出行人數與所占比例都大幅超過其他地區，顯示出日本在台灣旅客心中無可取代的強大吸引力，而其他周邊國家與地區也各自維持了穩定的客源基礎。

The outbound travel demand among residents of Taiwan has experienced a strong and steady recovery in recent years, with total outbound trips demonstrating massive market scale and robust growth momentum across both the full year of 2025 and the first half of 2026. In 2025, the total number of outbound trips made by Taiwan residents reached 18.944 million, with the top six most popular destinations being Japan at 6.731 million visits, mainland China at 3.238 million, South Korea at 1.835 million, Hong Kong at 1.626 million, Vietnam at 1.214 million, and Thailand at 1.027 million.

Entering 2026, the outbound travel boom showed no signs of slowing down, as the total number of outbound travelers from Taiwan officially surpassed the ten-million mark in the first half of the year alone from January to June, reaching 10,654,670 trips. Among these, Japan remained the top choice by a wide margin, recording 3,933,002 trips and accounting for 36.9% of the total. Mainland China followed in second place with 1,847,061 trips, or 17.3%, while South Korea ranked third with 1,132,354 trips, or 10.6%. They were followed by Hong Kong with 872,510 trips at 8.2%, Vietnam with 597,001 trips at 5.6%, and Thailand with 484,657 trips at 4.5%.

A comparison of the data from both years reveals that Japan has long maintained its position at the very top of the list of outbound destinations for Taiwan residents. Whether looking at the full-year statistics or the interim data from the first half of 2026, the number of travelers heading to Japan and its market share significantly exceeded those of all other regions, highlighting Japan's irreplaceable and powerful appeal to travelers from Taiwan, while surrounding countries and regions continued to maintain a stable base of visitors.
