The answer really depends on your own qualities and how you approach them. According to local matchmaking agencies, Ukrainian women’s top choices for marriage are usually men from English-speaking countries — the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia. Following that, they often prefer Western European countries like Germany and France, partly because of their geographical proximity.

When it comes to Asian men, many Ukrainian women are less interested due to differences in height and physical build. However, thanks to the global popularity of K-pop and Korean dramas, perceptions have shifted — marrying someone from Korea or Japan is now seen as acceptable, even appealing, to some.

Currently, the largest group of Asians living in Ukraine are Chinese. Some Ukrainian women are genuinely interested in Chinese culture and even study Mandarin, hoping to work in international trade or translation. Although they don’t necessarily demand a man to own a house or a car, financial stability is still very important. A man must be capable of supporting her and future children, including expenses like travel — for example, visiting her family in Ukraine can be quite costly. In short, if you plan to bring her to live in Asia, you’ll need to be prepared for the significant living expenses involved in daily life, education, and leisure.

Language is another key factor. You should be able to speak English, and it’s even better if you can learn some basic Russian or Ukrainian.
