印度高管飛機性侵案：一場驚動國際航班的猥褻事件

就在客艙陷入昏暗之際，賈維德開始他的侵犯行為。他最初試探性地撫摸了女童的手部。確認女孩已熟睡後，他利用客艙微弱的光線作為掩護，更加大膽地將手伸向女孩的胸部。

女童在睡夢中依稀察覺到異樣，猛地睜開眼睛後被眼前的景象驚嚇到——坐在她身邊的成年男子竟然正在對她進行侵犯！女孩在極度的厭惡和恐懼中尖叫著清醒過來，在座位上高喊：「離我遠一點！滾開！」並立即呼叫了客艙服務。

客艙的空姐主管聞訊趕來，發現女孩極度痛苦地蜷縮在座位上抱住自己，滿臉驚恐。女孩斷斷續續地描述了鄰座男子摸了她，甚至將手伸進了她的衣服裡。機組人員當即採取行動，將賈維德調離原有座位，並立即向機長報告事件的全部經過。

面對機組人員的質問，賈維德堅決否認自己的行為是猥褻，他辯稱自己當時也陷入熟睡，「根本不知道手放在了哪裡」，並狡辯說可能是「意外碰觸到女孩的胸部」，但「絕非出於故意」。

此案隨後進入英國司法程序。在法庭上，賈維德始終不肯認罪，但最終陪審團裁定他兒童猥褻罪名成立。在被問及是否對兒童存在性衝動時，賈維德試圖撇清戀童癖的嫌疑，他以自己的女兒作為擋箭牌進行辯護，聲稱：「絕對沒有，我自己的女兒才七歲。」

Mid-Air Molestation: The Case of the Indian Executive and the 12-Year-Old Girl

The incident in question involves Javed Inamdar, a 34-year-old Indian shipping company executive, and occurred late last year. Inamdar was traveling on a flight from Mumbai to London, where he was scheduled to transit before continuing to his temporary work location in Texas, USA. Inamdar is married and a father of two children.

The event unfolded during the overnight portion of the flight. Inamdar was seated next to a twelve-year-old girl, who was wearing a typical hoodie and appeared to be traveling alone to reunite with her family in the UK. As the cabin lights were dimmed and passengers settled into sleep during the early morning hours, the young girl also naturally drifted off.

It was at this point that Inamdar began his predatory actions. He initially began tentatively by stroking the girl's hand. Once he was convinced the girl was in a deep sleep, he used the darkness of the cabin as cover to become more brazen, assaulting the girl by touching her chest area.

The girl, vaguely sensing something was wrong in her sleep, awoke suddenly and was horrified by what she saw: the adult man seated next to her was assaulting her. Terrified and disgusted, the girl screamed herself back to full consciousness, shouting from her seat, "Get away from me! Get off!" and immediately called for the flight attendant.

The senior flight attendant rushed to the scene and found the girl visibly distressed, curled up and hugging herself in fear. She tearfully recounted that the man beside her had touched her and put his hand inside her clothes. The cabin crew promptly relocated Inamdar from his seat and reported the serious incident to the captain.

Upon being confronted by the crew, Inamdar vehemently denied having molested the girl. He claimed to have been fast asleep himself, stating he "had no idea where his hand was placed," and insisted that any contact must have been "accidental contact with her chest," but "absolutely not intentional."

The case was brought before a UK court. Inamdar maintained his not-guilty plea during the trial, but the jury ultimately convicted him of indecent assault on a child. When questioned about having sexual urges toward children, Inamdar attempted to dismiss the accusation of pedophilia by using his own family as a defense, stating: "Absolutely not, my own daughter is only seven years old."

Ultimately, Javed Inamdar was sentenced to 21 months in prison. He will serve his full sentence in the UK before being deported back to India. The judge acknowledged the defendant's emotional distress from being separated from his wife and children while on bail, but emphasized that the severity of the crime warranted the custodial sentence, with a clear order that the defendant must not remain in the UK after his term is served.
