Set in Japan’s Edo period, the game combines delicate hand-drawn visuals with fluid, satisfying combat to create a world that feels like a living ukiyo-e painting. As their narratives intertwine, players gradually uncover the truth behind the Nine-Tailed Fox’s resurgence and the deeper conspiracy hidden within the chaos. Through repeated cycles of life and death, each character grows, confronting the blurred boundaries between humans and demons.

At its core, the gameplay revolves around a dynamic combat system fused with Roguelite progression. Players can equip two weapons simultaneously and switch between them in real time to execute seamless combos. Each weapon features unique abilities and attributes, allowing for a wide variety of combat styles. Throughout each run, players collect hundreds of “Soul Orbs” that grant special effects, enabling deep customization and strategic builds. Combat emphasizes precision and responsiveness, incorporating mechanics such as dodging, parrying, and counterattacks, making every encounter both intense and rewarding.

The Roguelite structure ensures that no two runs are the same. While the overall chapter progression remains fixed, enemy placements, rewards, and routes are procedurally varied. During their journey, players can visit safe zones such as yokai festivals, where they interact with friendly spirits, purchase items, upgrade abilities, and even enjoy unique dishes like “yokai ramen” that provide gameplay buffs.
