The game also incorporates gadget-based mechanics, such as W’s insect-style devices, which are used for reconnaissance, puzzle-solving, and discovering hidden items. Combat further relies on precise timing, as players must observe enemy attack patterns to perform perfect dodges and counters, rewarding skillful play with additional energy and momentum.

The story is set on a mysterious island known as Sector City, presenting a more serious and grounded tone compared to typical fan-service-oriented entries. It explores original narrative threads connected to both Kamen Rider W and Kamen Rider OOO, expanding their worlds in alternative or continuation-style interpretations. While not all original actors reprise their roles, with some characters voiced by professional voice actors instead, the performances remain faithful to the original portrayals and maintain strong immersion.

In terms of reception, the game is often praised as a “refined direction” for the series. Its combat system is highly fluid, with form switching executed smoothly without interruption. Fans of W and OOO especially appreciate the faithful recreation of signature moves and cinematic attacks. The overall pacing is tight, with a relatively short playtime of around 10–12 hours, avoiding excessive filler content.

However, the game does have limitations. Environmental design is somewhat repetitive, with many areas feeling visually similar. Additionally, the limited roster—focusing only on three main Riders—may disappoint players expecting the large character selection typical of the Climax series.

Overall, Kamen Rider: Memory of Heroez is a focused and deliberate entry that prioritizes quality over quantity. Instead of offering a massive crossover roster, it concentrates on delivering refined combat mechanics and more coherent storytelling for a select group of Riders.
