《瑪利歐派對8》是瑪利歐派對系列首次在Wii平台推出的遊戲，隨後還推出九個版本。一開始有十四個角色可供選擇，最多可有四人同時競賽。遊戲共有六種不同主題的盤面。採用類似大富翁的格子遊玩模式，玩家擲骰子以決定移動步數。玩家必須持續贏得小遊戲，才能最快抵達終點。總共收錄70種小遊戲，包括繪圖、套木桶、射飛鏢等。勝負的關鍵在於玩家如何靈活運用Wii遙控器/雙截棍控制器的指標和動態感應。

"Mario Party 8" is the first game in the Mario Party series to be released on the Wii platform, followed by nine more versions. Initially, there are fourteen characters to choose from, and up to four players can compete simultaneously. The game features six different themed game boards. It adopts a gameplay mode similar to Monopoly, where players roll dice to determine the number of steps they move. Players must continuously win mini-games to reach the finish line as quickly as possible. The game includes a total of 70 mini-games, ranging from drawing, barrel rolling, to dart shooting. The key to winning lies in how players skillfully utilize the pointer and motion sensing capabilities of the Wii remote / Nunchuk controller.
